What needs to happen to improve health and quality of life in Knox County? Through Together! Prestige Cleaners "Project Classroom" allows clients to designate a portion of each laundry bill to a school of their choice. Last year, individual schools received a total of more than $30,000 from the proceeds. |
| Teacher Supply Depot The Teacher Supply Depot is a unique way for the community and local businesses to partner with the school system to provide material support to the classroom teacher. Since its inception, many businesses and community members have stepped forward to donate materials, money and time to the depot. |
Teacher of the Year Three Knox County teachers are selected each year as "Teacher of the Year" in Knox County Schools. A Teacher of the Year is selected from Elementary, Middle and High School programs. Selections are made from building-level nominations. Each school selects a Teacher of the Year as well. District winners are entered in the state selection process. |

| Knox County Museum of Educational History The Knox County Museum of Educational History is located in the Historic Knoxville High School Building at 101 E. Fifth Avenue. The site now houses several Knox County Schools programs as well as the museum and was, as it's name implies, a high school until the early 1950s. The museum opened in September 2006 and includes collections of materials from the Knoxville City Schools which merged with the Knox County Schools in 1987 as well as material on Knox County schools. Records of schools dating back as far as 1820 have been found and are available for viewing at the museum. (More) |
